1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using EmbeddedInterviewLab ("the Service"), operated by Palo Alto Digital Platform LLC, a California limited liability company, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
EmbeddedInterviewLab is an educational platform for embedded systems interview preparation. The Service provides:
- Study materials on embedded systems topics (knowledge articles, Q&A pages)
- Coding practice problems with an in-browser code editor
- AI-powered code evaluation that provides automated feedback and scores
- Progress tracking, bookmarks, and page feedback features for registered users
- A community forum for sharing interview experiences, tips, and discussions
- A problem submission system where users can contribute coding problems for review
- An achievement badge system that rewards study milestones
3. AI-Powered Evaluation Disclaimer
The Service uses third-party artificial intelligence models (including OpenAI and Anthropic) to evaluate code submissions. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI evaluations are provided for educational purposes only and are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or consistent.
- Scores and feedback are automated assessments and should not be relied upon as a definitive measure of your coding ability or interview readiness.
- Code you submit for evaluation is sent to third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) for processing. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- Palo Alto Digital Platform LLC is not liable for any decisions you make based on AI evaluation results, including interview outcomes.
4. User Accounts
You may create an account using email or Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Abuse the AI evaluation system (e.g., excessive automated requests, API scraping)
- Attempt prompt injection or other attacks against the AI evaluation system
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute the educational content on the platform
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent rate limits
6. Community Content & Forum
The Service includes a community forum where users can post interview experiences, comments, and discussions. You are solely responsible for the content you post. By posting content on the forum, you agree that:
- Your posts, comments, and votes are visible to other users of the Service.
- You will not post content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- You will not post confidential or proprietary information from employers, including verbatim interview questions covered by non-disclosure agreements.
- You will not spam, post misleading content, or use the forum for advertising or self-promotion.
- We reserve the right to remove, hide, or modify any content at our sole discretion, including content that receives multiple community reports.
- Posts that receive 3 or more community reports may be automatically hidden from public view pending review.
Anonymous posting: You may post anonymously. When posting anonymously, your identity is hidden from other users but is still stored in our database for moderation and abuse prevention purposes.
7. User-Submitted Problems
Users may submit coding problems through the problem submission system. Submitted problems are reviewed by our team before being published. By submitting a problem, you grant Palo Alto Digital Platform LLC a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, and display the problem on the platform. You represent that any problem you submit does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights.
8. Intellectual Property
All educational content on EmbeddedInterviewLab — including topic articles, interview Q&A pages, coding problems, reference solutions, diagrams, and evaluation rubrics — is owned by Palo Alto Digital Platform LLC and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without prior written permission.
Code that you submit for evaluation remains your property. By submitting code, you grant us a limited license to process it through AI evaluation services for the purpose of providing you feedback.
9. Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PALO ALTO DIGITAL PLATFORM LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Santa Clara County, California.
